Care and Support That Make Every Day Easier

Daily help with bathing, dressing and medications, plus meals and hospice care, so you can spend your days on what you enjoy.

What help do residents get each day?

Our caregivers help residents with bathing, dressing and medications every day. Prairie Pines is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Help is there whenever it’s needed, and the rest of the day belongs to the resident.

Medications are given on daily rounds by staff certified by the State of Colorado. Before move-in, each resident’s doctor decides whether they keep and take their own medications or have our staff give them. If a resident falls or goes to the hospital, we call their medical power of attorney.

The team is led by Sheri Mendez, our licensed administrator. She has lived in Eads all her life and started her career as a nursing assistant at the hospital in town. Prairie Pines is owned by Parul Darji, RN.

What does the monthly rate include?

Everything below comes with one all-inclusive monthly rate, set by room size. The rate doesn’t change when care needs do, and there are no extra charges for care. Your family can plan ahead without surprises.

  • Personal care

Hands-on help with bathing and dressing, every day.
  • Medication help

Medications given on scheduled daily rounds by state-certified medication aides, as the resident’s doctor directs.
  • Three meals a day

Breakfast, lunch and supper from a menu residents choose a week ahead, with an alternative always available.
  • Housekeeping

Bathrooms cleaned every day, and each room deep-cleaned with fresh sheets on a regular rotation.
  • Laundry

Personal laundry on a weekly schedule set at move-in, and more often when needed. Residents may also use the laundry room themselves.
  • Rides to appointments

Rides to medical appointments in Eads and out of town, with a team member along whenever possible.

Can residents receive hospice care here?

Yes. Prairie Pines provides hospice care, so a resident who needs it can stay in their own room with the staff they know. Families can spend that time together in a place that already feels like home.

Is Prairie Pines the right fit?

Prairie Pines suits adults who want to stay as independent as they can, with daily help close by. Before move-in, our administrator reviews each person’s needs so you’ll know from the start that we can care for your loved one well.

We don’t offer memory care or a secure unit. If a resident’s needs grow beyond assisted living, we help the family plan a move to a nursing home that can meet them.
