Privacy Policy
How this website handles the information you share.
What does this policy cover?
Last updated October 19, 2026.
This policy explains what information this website collects and how Prairie Pines Assisted Living uses it. It covers the website only. Care records for residents are kept separately and are not part of this website.
What information do we collect?
We only collect what you choose to send us through a form or the chat window on this site:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Who the inquiry is for, and when care might be needed.
- The day and time you pick for a tour.
- Anything you type in a message box.
- For job inquiries, the kind of role you are interested in.
Please don’t include medical details in a message. Our forms never ask for a Social Security number or health information.
When you send a form, we also note the page you sent it from, how you first found the site and the time you agreed to be contacted. How you found the site comes from a small cookie, described below.
How do we use it?
We use your information to answer you. That means we may:
- Call or email you about your inquiry, and text you if you checked the box to receive texts on a form or agreed in the chat window.
- Set up and confirm your tour.
- Send you the Family Guide or the rates and openings you asked for.
- Learn which pages and campaigns bring families to us, so we can improve the site.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. How often we text depends on your inquiry, and message and data rates may apply. We never share your phone number or your agreement to receive texts with other companies for their marketing. To stop calls or emails, just tell us.
Do we sell or share your information?
No. We never sell your information, and we never share it with other companies for their own marketing.
A few service providers handle it on our behalf. They include the company that hosts this website, the software we use to keep track of inquiries, and the admissions team that answers our phone and follows up with families. They may use it only to help us respond to you. We may also share information if the law requires it.
What cookies does the site use?
The site itself sets one cookie, plus a temporary note in your browser:
- pp_ft is a first-party cookie that lasts 90 days. It remembers the first page you saw and any campaign tags in that link, such as an ad or email code. We read it only when you send a form.
- While you fill in a form, your browser keeps your answers so you can step back and forth. They are cleared when you close the tab.
The map on our contact page loads only when you tap “Show map.” It comes from Google, which may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
The chat window in the corner of most pages comes from LeadConnector, the software we use to keep track of inquiries. It may keep a small note in your browser so that a conversation can carry on from page to page. What you type in it reaches our team the same way a form does.
We also use these tools to see how families find the site and which ads lead to a call or a form:
- Google Analytics counts visits and pages read. It sets its own cookies and does not receive what you type in a form.
On pages about care, hospice, the Family Guide and paying for care, the Meta pixel never loads, and Google’s tools run without ad personalization, so a visit to those pages is never used to show you ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the forms will still work.
How long do we keep it, and how is it protected?
We keep inquiries as long as we need them to help you and to keep normal business records. Our hosting provider also keeps short-term technical logs. Your address on the internet is used for a few minutes to stop spam and is not stored with your inquiry.
The whole site uses a secure connection (HTTPS). No website can promise perfect protection, but we limit who can see your information to the people who need it to help you.
What choices do you have?
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. We’ll do what we can, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
This site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
